We have an exciting new opportunity for an IFS Technical Consultant to join our team at Cooper Software.

What will you do?

The IFS Technical Consultant will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support in the implementation, customisation, and maintenance of IFS software solutions for clients. This role involves collaborating with clients to understand their business requirements, designing and configuring the IFS system accordingly, integrating the software with existing systems, and providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout the implementation process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support with the implementation process, ensuring seamless integration with the client's existing systems and working within the PMO framework and agreed Customer Delivery Charters.
  • Tailor the IFS software to meet the specific business needs and requirements of the client through customisation and configuration.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to clients, troubleshooting issues, and addressing any technical challenges that arise during the implementation and post-implementation phases. Address support incidents that are assigned to you that have been raised by customers through the company helpdesk. Provide technical direction and guidance to all staff from pre-sales through delivery cycle specifically for the use and ability of the IFS product.
  • Manage system upgrades and ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of the IFS software, including monitoring performance and resolving any issues that may affect system functionality.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their business processes and objectives and provide recommendations on how best to utilise the IFS software to achieve their goals.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure they understand how to effectively use the IFS software, as well as creating comprehensive documentation for system configurations, customisations, and best practices. Mentor junior team members in the technical capabilities and tools within IFS.

 

What will you need?

  • Degree level qualification in a business related subject preferred.
  • A strong understanding of IFS software, including its modules, functionalities, and configurations, is essential. Proficiency in software implementation, customisation, and maintenance is crucial along with:
    • Previous experience of implementing and upgrading IFS systems
    • Demonstrate abilities within the IFS Configuration areas.
    • Demonstrate abilities within the IFS Connectivity area.
    • Demonstrate abilities with Data Migration
    • Demonstrate abilities with Reporting within IFS specifically with Crystal Reporting.
    • Demonstrate a range of business and industry experience.
    • Experience in both development and support would be advantageous.
  • Ability to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently during implementation and maintenance phases, along with a proactive approach to finding innovative solutions.
  • Effective communication, both verbal and written and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to clients and colleagues.
  • Experience in managing client relationships, understanding their business requirements, and effectively translating those into tailored IFS solutions.
  • Capacity to analyse complex business processes and propose appropriate IFS configurations and customisations that align with the client's operational objectives and industry standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, consultants, and clients, to ensure seamless integration and implementation of IFS solutions.
